Location: Usually on your premises; alternative venues are sometimes available.

Teachers: Qualified native-speakers.

Course Structure: Flexible to meet your requirements.

Course Lengths: Anything from 18 hours (the minimum booking).

Class Duration: Usually a minimum of 90 minutes.

Class Frequency: As little or as often as you like although at least once per week is recommended.

Individual: One-to-one, giving the greatest flexibility and facilitating faster assimilation of the target language.

Group Classes: No public group classes – you must form your own group.

Scheduling Classes: Can be on either a fixed or diary basis or a combination of both.

Class Cancellations: At least 24 hours notice required, otherwise class lost i.e. treated as if having taken place anyway.

Holidays, Business Trips, Meetings etc: As long as a full 24 hours notice of cancellations is received, class hours cannot be lost.

Prices: Usually £38.00 per hour for one-to-one French, German, Italian, Spanish or English (other languages by arrangement); group classes require an additional £3.00 per person from the second learner on i.e. a two-to-one class would be £41.00 per hour. London area classes (broadly within M25) carry a £5.00 per hour surcharge. Discounts available to all courses for all but the smallest bookings (see below).

Travel Expenses: These are, 90% of the time, included in the prices noted above but, in the unlikely event of your location and/or target language necessitating a supplement, it is likely to be significantly less than £5.00. The exact cost can be confirmed once we know when classes are required.

Discounts: Available for all advanced, pre-paid bookings (cannot be applied retrospectively to staged bookings) of 30 hours or more; range from 6% to 11%, depending upon length of booking.

Books etc: Individually selected course book (sometimes including CD) provided free for every learner, additional free material as courses progress.

Procedure:

  1. Contact Language Link Up by email* or telephone to discuss your individual requirement. (*Ideally through contact form under Contact Us but can also be via the link at the bottom of each page);
  2. Following telephone conversation, schedule visit of our Course Co-ordinator for no-obligation assessment (application form then left with you);
  3. Complete application and return to us;
  4. We contact you with class options that suit your availability (already discussed during assessment) – you select your preference/s;
  5. Commencement date agreed and general course information formally confirmed by us;
  6. First class, during which your teacher will probably then decide upon your course book, this then being ordered to usually be delivered to you within a few days.
  7. As your course progresses, your Course Co-ordinator, who is monitoring your progress, will telephone to check that you feel that all is going well.
  8. A questionnaire will be sent to you later on during your course.
