With English consolidating its position as the language of international business, it is rapidly becoming essential for business professionals to be able to communicate effectively in the language. A smooth, two-way flow of information between colleagues and customers allows both to concentrate upon the key issues being discussed, instead of having them focus upon communication difficulties, which can lead to distraction and misunderstanding. For senior figures within your organization, the ability to communicate effectively in English with British and, often, foreign customers or colleagues is a key skill in a world where critical decisions are often made on the basis of personal relationships.

For those foreign nationals who have recently relocated to the UK with their families, provision of English classes, in the new home, for their partner (and perhaps children) will allow the families greater independence and self-reliance, enabling the working partner to focus their attention upon your company’s business instead.

It may be that the person requiring English classes is a complete beginner or they could already have a reasonable command of the language that needs only refining; whatever level and language requirements they have, we can provide the right programme for them.

How it works

We appreciate that you are busy, so we visit you on your premises (free of charge and obligation) to discuss your needs, be they for language training for you or your colleagues. We can also visit individuals and their families at home. Following an assessment, we can then propose

• specially tailored programmes, from as little as 18 hours

to suit your requirements, to be delivered, on your premises, at times and dates to suit you – you may like to have

• one-to-one or small group* classes
• weekly, bi-weekly, semi-intensive or intensive classes, ranging from a single 90 minute class each week, through to a number of hours every day over a shorter period
• ad-hoc maintenance sessions if you already have a sufficiently good level

* Ideally of up to 6 participants although we can cater for larger groups; we can advise as to how participants should be divided between such groups if their levels differ. As individuals requiring English classes in the UK often have very different backgrounds, levels and requirements, smaller groups are often encouraged.

with these taking place either as

• regular classes on the same days and at the same times
• classes booked ahead on a diary system or week-by-week to suit your busy schedule**
• a combination of the above

** This option can be less easy for participants to administer if it is a group class

Whatever you choose, all are subject to only 24 hours notice of cancellation, so you can even reschedule your class to attend that obligatory, last-minute meeting.

We provide individually created and selected course materials free of charge, so all you need to bring is a pen and paper.

Whilst our teachers are dedicated professionals, our office staff are on-hand to help throughout your course with us – we are just an email or telephone call away!

As all of our teachers are native-speakers, you receive your language classes from a person who speaks the target language as a mother tongue, enabling you to reproduce the language from its original form.

You have the same teacher*** throughout your course, allowing you to maintain a good working relationship and ensuring that the teacher has ongoing, first-hand knowledge of your progress at every class. Should you wish to be exposed to different accents and voices, we can arrange for a periodic change of teacher.

*** For intensive and, sometimes, semi-intensive courses, two or more teachers work as a team with you, liaising directly with each other before and after classes. This is to ensure that your class is always fresh and dynamic.
